Last Tuesday was the 8th round of the GT Pro Series powered by Simracing United and it took place at Le Mans on the short Bugatti Circuit. It was the first race after a long summer break and our drivers were able to continue their strong performance from the first half of the season.

Our BHR Team 1 drivers (current leader in the teams standings) Alex Bräutigam and Mike Horn qualified on P2 and P3.

It was an incredible and close fight for the lead during the whole race between our two drivers and Markus Frühauf from the Green Flashes. Alex and Mike weren't able to overtake him until lap 23, when Markus had an issue with a backmarker and lost the control under braking into turn 2. Alex took over the lead, didn't make any mistake and could finish the race on P1, his first win of the season.

Mike, who was carrying 75 kilos, did an amazing job to stay in the fight for the win, but unfortunately he just missed the podium with P4. Marius Nicolae who missed the qualy and had to start from the back, did an amazing job, gained 17 places and finished on a really strong 7th place. Also James Duku had a really good race (started from P16), without any major mistake and finished in the top 10, his best result of the season.
The race of Bernd Schmidt wasn't so successful due to his lack of practice, but he could gain some positions and finished on 14th place. He arrived last minute in France, after his DSTM race on Monday and therefore he struggled a bit.

Congratulations to the whole team for this strong performance. We wish our drivers good luck for the next race on the Red Bull Ring in Salzburg on 5th of September.
