Yesterday was the season opener of the GT Pro Series. Our team entered the series with a high amount of 9 drivers and they will try to defend the titles from past season.

The reigning champion Alex Bräutigam was able to get pole position, followed by Sascha Glatter (BHR Team III) and Alex teammate Mike Horn.
The start was pretty calm, but nevertheless Alex lost his lead to Sascha during the first lap. In addition to

that, Felix Heinen from Green Flashes had a great start and was able to pass Mike and Alex for 2nd place.

But Alex could pass him 3 laps later. Mike was trying to follow Alex, but the Green Flashes driver could defend his position until lap 47! Finally Mike was able to pass him through the chicane with an stunning outside move! An impressive and fair battle between both drivers.

In the meantime, Sascha was inviolable and had great race pace, therefore he was able to get the first victory of the season. Alex had also a clean race and finished 2nd, followed by his teammate Mike. A triple podium for our team is a great result, congratulations to you guys!
The really good result was rounded off with Patrick Baaden on P5, our new driver Marius Nicolae on P10 and Bernd Schmidt (highest climber of the race) on P12.

Here are the whole results:

Sascha Glatter: 1.
Alex Bräutigam: 2.
Mike Horn: 3.
Patrick Baaden: 5.
Marius Nicolae: 10.
Bernd Schmidt: 12.
Harald Bachmann: 18.
Bryce Louw: 22.
James Duku: 23.

Good luck for the next race on april 18th at the Virgina International Raceway.
