Ready to Race Get a Cockpit

Last sunday was round 18 of the Virtual-Oval.de Nascar A class championship at the Pocono Raceway which was also the season final. After the Qualifying Bernd grabbed P13. With this position on the grid, a top 10 result could be possible here in the season final, but let's have a look how does the race has gone. Bernd got a decent start into the race and was fighting for positins around P10-P15 all very close together. In lap 14 then the first caution and at the restart Bernd found himself in the top 10, the race was going on very smooth and he was able to go a decent pace and fight for other positions.

In lap 62 then the first drama, Schneider lost his car and had a big damaged which forced a caution and unfortunate he hit Bernd whilst he was rolling over the track, light aero damage from now on. Bernd was still fighting for a good position and he was able to go the pace around P6 as Baily gets loose at the rear exit of T1 and Bernd wasn'T able to avoid him and so more damage on the car and the chance for a better position at this moment has gone. A few laps later he got a small bump on the rear from Kiss, but both car's made a smooth drift through T1 and nothing else happened. In lap 91 Bernd lost the rear at the exit of T1 which brought out the third and last caution of the race, not everyone pitted during this caution and so Bernd found himself now on P5 for the green white chequered restart, unfortunate D. Adam spun his tyres at the restart which ended in a big one and Bernd was slightly caught in it and he got also a penalty for overtaking on the inside, so at the end of the race Bernd finished the race on P12. He felt really disappointed afterwards and said, he is happy that he had the pace for it but with this penalty and instead of P5 finishing on P12 he was quite pissed.

Now with the final race in the books, we can announce that Bernd finished on P15 overall in the driver championship, which also means he is runner up in the rookie category. We also made it on P13 in the team championship. It was a great season we and our driver had a lot of fun and also we got a lot of experience here and so we can say this is for the very first Nascar season a decent result and we're looking forward to the new season then in 2018 and we'll be ready for it. At this point congratulations to Carlos Gomis for winning the rookie category, congratulations to S. Nobis for winning the driver championship and also congratulations to SDC Motorsports for winning the team championship. Last but not least we also wanna say thank you to all administrators and race stewards for a great season, really appriciate all that wok behind the scenes and also thank you to Michael Morgenthal for commentating the races and doing a great job on the broadcasts.

At this point we wanna wish all drivers, administrators, stewards and the commentator merry christmas and a happy new year, enjoy the holidays and we'll see us again in 2018 for the next season. Take care
