Ready to Race Get a Cockpit

Last weeks Monday was time for the last round of the DSTM with race 17 and 18 at Montreal. Our Ferrari drivers Conny and Bernd knew top 10 could be possible but wont be an easy way to get it, Patrick changed the car for the last round back to the Mercedes and he felt comfortable and knew podium is possible. So after the Qualifying Patrick started from P2, Conny from P17 and Bernd from P25. First on the 20min sprint race, Patrick lost two positions at the start and felt back to P4 but after the first lap he was directly back on P2 and was fighting against T Czerny for P1,

meanwhile Conny and Bernd had a decent start into the race and both caught some positions. Bernd's car was slightly damaged since T1 after another car spun directly in front of him. Patrick tried all against Czerny to grab P1 but he wasn't able to get a move done so he finished on P2, Bernd finished at P17 and Conny at P19. Time for the 60min main race, Patrick started from P11 due to reverse grid rule, Bernd from P17 and Conny from P19, good start for all 3 drivers but unfortunate Patrick get a bump on his rear in T6 which finished his race, also Bernd was caught in this incident and had again a slightly damaged car for the whole race. Bernd was making good progress til he has to come into the pits for his DT penalty from last round. So after Patrick has retired the car, Conny and Bernd was fighting for every second on the track to get a good position at the end of the race. It was all about fuel calculating, Bernd decided no refueling during his pit stop and make it til the end with lots of lift and coast, while Conny refueld some liters, unfortunate Conny rolled out in the penultimate lap, while Bernd was fighting against 3 cars and his fuel, on the S/F straight one car in front of him was also rolling out and his Ferrari lost acceleration on the last 100meters and he rolled with an empty tank over the line. This brought the following results, Bernd finished on P15, Conny on P 21 and Patrick doesn't finished the race after the incident in T6.

With this results in the books we're at the end of the second DSTM season 2017, presented by SimRacing Deutschland e. V. we can announce the final results in the driver and team championship of our drivers and both teams, Bernd finished on P11 overall and missed the top 10 by 1 place, Patrick finished on P18 and Conny who joined for the last 3 rounds finished on P48 from overall 73 drivers, in the championship our first team (Bernd and Patrick( finished on P6 and the second team (Conny) finished on P34 from overall 46 teams.
